Water Babies (Saturdays: 10-10:30AM ) This program builds swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water. Parents/caregivers and children participate in several guided practice sessions that help children learn to be comfortable and enjoy the water. Sessions include water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking and back floating. Ages 6months-3 years.
Guppies (Saturdays: 10:45-11:15AM // Thursdays: 6-6:30 pm) Basic water safety rules, in line kicking on front and back, breath holding and breath control (submerging mouth, nose and eyes), exhaling underwater, opening eyes underwater and picking up submerged object, floating on front and back, and treading water. Ages 3-5 years.
Polliwogs (Saturdays: 11:30Am-12:00Pm // Thursdays: 6:45-7:15 pm) Basic water safety rules, Freestyle kicking with board, breath holding without blowing bubbles, breath control, back kicking, submerging entire head, front and back glide, treading water using arm and leg motions, and freestyle swimming. Flotation device may be used based on instructor discretion. Ages 6-12 years.
Otters (Saturdays: 12:15-12:45pm) Basic water safety rules, backstroke and freestyle swimming with side breathing, breath control and in-line kicking. Ages 6-12 years.
*Max capacity for water babies is 8.
*Max capacity for all other classes is 5.
Safety devices are provided if needed.
