The Three Rivers Health Auxiliary team has announced five area recipients to receive its annual medical scholarship award.
Those students each receiving a $1,000 scholarship include the following: Keri Doutlick, Glen Oaks Community College; Tessa Hawkins, Glen Oaks Community College; Carley Morrill, Western Michigan University; Maegan Saunders, Grand Valley State University; and Kira Wright, Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
The Three Rivers Health Auxiliary team has proudly continued its tradition of naming medical scholarship award winners over the past several years. Those considered for the scholarship must have a family member that is either employed or volunteers their time at Three Rivers Health.
“Most all of our future fundraisers will go toward the scholarship fund,” cited Three Rivers Health Auxiliary President Glenda Fultz. “It gives all of us a sense that what we do here, truly does matter. Our entire team enjoys helping college students to attain their career goals through our scholarships.”
David Casterline, Executive Director of the Three Rivers Health Foundation, said the work done by the Three Rivers Health Auxiliary team is indeed incredible.
“It never ceases to amaze me as to how much time our volunteers contribute here to help benefit others throughout the year,” praised Casterline. “These are awesome people and without them, these scholarships would not have been possible.”
