Delivering the Best for Your Delivery
Having a baby is wonderful, and yet, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. That’s why we believe giving moms-to-be and their families comfort and security is very important. So they can focus all of their energy on bringing a healthy baby into the world.
Three Rivers Health is committed to helping you before, during, and after the birth of your child. We offer a healthy dose of education and support, combined with the latest technology and skilled professionals, to ensure that you have a positive birthing experience with us.

Rooms That Feel Like Home
At Three Rivers Health, moms-to-be (and their families) have comfortable rooms for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. Our home-like birthing suites even include whirlpools for ultimate relaxation and convenience. For your peace of mind and the safety of your little one, Three Rivers Health features a lock-down birthing unit.
We are happy to provide a sleeping place for your primary support person. A special birth “celebration meal” is also offered to our moms and their significant others. | |
Supporting the Unique Needs of Moms
You are the most valuable member of our team. We are here to work with you as our partner, providing you with the ongoing education and support you deserve. Our highly qualified nurse midwives offer a natural approach to labor, delivering guidance and encouragement every step of the way. For your comfort, our anesthesia team coordinates care with your obstetric provider and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This team is equipped to administer the best care and options in pain management, including spinal or epidural anesthesia.
Whether you’d like extra assistance with breastfeeding or your newborn has a special health care concern, we have the technology and the providers to meet your specific needs.
You’re in Capable Hands
During your stay at Three Rivers Health, you and your little one are in very capable hands. We are proud to staff nurses, physicians, and professionals who possess advanced training and education. Some of our credentials and qualifications include:
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
- NRP (Neonatal resuscitation program)
- ACLS (Advanced cardiopulmonary life support)
- EFM (Electronic fetal-monitoring course)
- STABLE (the most widely distributed and implemented neonatal education program that focuses on the post-resuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick infants)
Some of our staff are also members of the Association of Women’s Health Obstetrics & Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and Southwest Michigan Perinatal Association (SWMPA).
Just for Your Little One
Dr. Evans or Dr. Salvi (see their bios below on this page) will oversee the care of your newborn on our birthing unit. These qualified pediatricians, or one of our pediatric nurse practitioners or certified physician assistants (PA-Cs), can also continue caring for your baby after discharge at our Family Care offices in Three Rivers, Centreville, or White Pigeon.
