Letter to the Editor of the Three Rivers Commercial
The other day, I ran into a close acquaintance while out and about. This acquaintance is a long time resident of Three Rivers. During our conversation, my acquaintance shared that the hospital has been getting better and better. To this I received much credit. I agree with my friend that everything at Three Rivers Health is improving tremendously, but I deserve little to none of the credit. There are 500 people who are dedicated to improving and providing care to this entire community.
Our conversation went on during which my friend disclosed that he receives his care in Kalamazoo as he continues to hear things. The problem for all hospitals, particularity rural hospitals is that communities have long memories. Things that happened last year and last decade are still in the community; that’s just how it is.
Over the past few years, we have brought a number of new physicians and physician extenders to Three Rivers and around the county. Today, I know these new providers matched with those they join are as good a medical staff as can be found anywhere. We are improving everyday. We are not where we want to be, yet, but we continue to get better.
To my friend and all readers let me say this; if you haven’t used the services of Three Rivers Health lately, you haven’t used Three Rivers Health.
Thank you
William Russell
CEO, Three Rivers Health
